ALAN SAXON GOLF MYSTERIES (by Keith Miles)

Alan Saxon is a professional golfer who is down on his luck. His wife has divorced him, his access to his teenage daughter is severely limited and he has financial problems. It all affects his performance as a golfer. Yet he soldiers on, living in a motor caravan called Carnoustie, warmed by the memory of his long-ago win in the Open Championship at the famous golf course of that name. The problem is that there is an enormous amount of money in the sport and that inevitably attracts villains. The easy-going Saxon has an unfortunate habit of getting between the villains and their villainy. What follows is certainly not in accordance with the rules of the game.

Several reviewers have called Miles the "Dick Francis of golf."

BERMUDA GRASS

Helping to design a golf course in Bermuda, Alan Saxon takes his daughter, Lynette, there for a holiday. Saxon is alarmed to meet her friend and fellow-student, Jessica Hadlow, who is joining them. Arrogant, outspoken and brimming with sexuality, Jennifer is the daughter of a millionaire business tycoon. Saxon arrives to learn that someone is trying to sabotage the new golf course, and he stumbles on a murder victim who has been hanged from one of the trees. A romance with an American woman staying at the hotel provides a welcome distraction until Lynette and Jessica are both abducted. The event not only brings Jessica's obnoxious father storming to the island, it also prompts Saxon's ex-wife to come as well. His hands are well and truly full as he tries to solve the murder while fighting off attempts on his own life.

"Miles has something for everything in this delicious entertainment; a surprise villain, violent fisticuffs, an excellent golf game, lovely women, some sex, fine detective work and a stunning climax."
Publishers Weekly

"Bermuda Grass is an above par round of entertainment."
Midwest Book Review

"A delightful new mystery...Miles weaves the game of golf into the plot seamlessly."
